Aim

The aim of the course is to provide candidates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver basic life-saving techniques in an emergency situation.

Content

The course will include:

• principles, practices, and priorities in first aid
• causes of unconciousness and the management of the unconscious patient
• airway management
• CPR
• management of bleeding
• other common medical conditions

Assessment and Certification

• Ongoing observation and assessment is carried out by training staff
• Certificates are valid for three years
