JSLA Voluntary Hours

JSLA Module B

Working with the British Sports Trust, we have designed an intensive two-day residential programme for JSLA students covering Module B of the award. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students develop confidence and leadership skills. Students will be working alongside Kids Klub qualified activity instructors and are introduced to an exciting range of outdoor sport and recreation activities. All British Sports Trust leaders will be supervised in accordance with British Sports Trust Policy.

The two-day residential programme includes the following:

Klub Xperience training on risk assessments and planning and running safe activity sessions.

Day one
Students are guided through a range of problem solving and leadership activities which fine tune students organisational and communication skills. Students have time to prepare for their activity sessions alongside a senior Kids Klub instructor.

The evening programme develops students’ leadership skills, students are responsible for organising and running a choice of evening activities.

Day two
Students plan and run at least one hour of sport or recreation activities for their peers. If students demonstrate sufficient competency they will be encouraged to take a session for external UK and European Kids Klub groups of children (if on site). A senior instructor will be allocated to the group and provide continual feedback and support.

All Log Books fully completed.

Students will receive a complimentary BST Leader @ KIub Xperience T-shirt.
